Some times after...

        Geez... I wish you could understand French. I wrote a lot on the French blog, but i will not have time (and energy) to write all of it in english again. If anyone of you have some questions or want some more details about this or that city, just drop a comment or a mail and i will gladly write about it.

         So what happened since i'm in Laos...

- Monday 25th : on the boat from Huay Xai to Pak Beng. It was so beautiful... The Mekong is amazing, peaceful and strong at the same time. The slow boat was packed with 100 tourists, so i escaped at the back of the boat with 10 Laos, behind a mountain of backpacks.

- Tuesday 26th : on the boat from Pak Beng to Tha Suang, where i disembark, leaving all the tourists. Picked up a sawnghtaew to Hongsa district. The kind of place i loved right away. 26km but 1h30 to get there, in the middle of a valley surrounded by mountains, dirt roads, paddies and simple people. And smiles everywhere. I have been invited to dance, eat and drink with Lao from 3 to 11pm, was awesome.

- Wednesday 27th : Hongsa district - to get lost in the paddies, to cycle through the small villages, talk with the farmers and fishermen, wave to the children. Country life, the real one.

- Thursday 28th : took the sawnghtaew-boat to Pak Beng, where i played with children and sat along the Mekong to watch the river life. Away from the tourist-packed main street

- Friday 29th : 8h30 of bus Pak Beng - Oudom Xai - Luang Nam Ta. Really cold. Really really cold.

- March 1st & 2nd : trek in the Nam Ha NPA, walking in primary rain forest and sleeping in a Akha village. Once again, rather than taking too many pictures, i played a catch game with the kids (who gave me bamboo sprout after - what was i suppose to do... eat them without cooking them first ?). Well, unfortunately, i fell ill the morning, so me and a guide had to take a shorter track to leave the NPA. I spent the afternoon sleeping with 38.5 of fever ^^

- Monday 3rd : resting day, internet in French, rest again

- Tuesday 4th : bus to Muang Sing, cycling a litle, visiting a little, resting again

- Wednesday 5th : bus Muang Sing - Luang Nam Tha - Oudom Xai. Talked with a novice at the top of a hill during the sunset, was a really peaceful atmosphere.

- Thursday 6th : bus Oudom Xai - Luang Prabang. Wandering around, soaking in the atmosphere, marvelling at all the monks and temple every where... I love this city already !
