Odds and ends - 2 ^^
My plans are getting kinda set now. More or less ^^
- Sunday : graduation ceremony of Aom
- Monday to Wednesday/Thursday : border town of Mae Sot, refugee camp of Mae La
- On the 25 th : going to Laos, my visa ends. 3 weeks in Laos
- March 15th : plane to Kuala Lumpur. 10-15 days in Malaysia
- April 4th-7th : Burma with Phra Saneh and Phra Chai and others
- Then one month in Cambodia, hopefully seeing this little village without electricity-water-road that I hear of ^^
- Mid-May... Teaching French in Chiang Mai... ?

The Chedi surrounded by trees
After that : Mae Sa valley. Its waterfalls, its road overlooking valleys and mountains, its small villages, its dirt tracks as soon as you leave the main road...

Orchids green houses ?

Fires... So much easier to burn than to break your back picking up the old plants after harvesting...

On Tuesday, I rent a motorbike to go around Doi Suthep, the mountain looking over CM. I began with wat U-Mong, a forest Wat where lives one of "my" student (but who was at university at that time). No sign in English to indicate it, where i was, but i managed to read a thai sign. First time it's of some use ^^
You have trees everywhere and it's really peaceful. If it wasn't 5km away, i would almost go there every day too ^^

And then, wednesday morning, i woke up at 5.30 to go alm offering at the market. First time i'm doing it for real ^^ At first, the monk looked like he was wondering what i wanted. Guess there aren't many Westerners offering alms...
And then... sunset on Doi Suthep.... behind the clouds.... Was really cold on the mountain :)
