How to do nothing for 1 week in KL

Publié le par Gaelle, Aisyah, Socheata... what else ?

So I get my visa on a Tuesday. And took the plane on a Saturday. You're going to ask me why ? Well, 1/ because I bought my ticket only once I had my visa. 2/ because Azlan was coming on the thursday and also because I wanted to see the KL Couchsurfers. Conclusion... Yeah... Got some of it ^^

Well, I actually didn't do a lot during my daytime. Pika was working (except on Thursday, Labour Day - and, yes, it's international) and I had already visited KL from A to Z. Ok, I had forgotten many letters in between, but I was not in the mood for visiting.

So... I just wandered around a little, here and there, having a really nice Zhafran willing to take me back from the LRT station to the house when I was calling him. I''m sure I took a nap a couple of times. Talked with Pika's mother (she's especially talkative at breakfast haha. Especially about her son... I still remember everything, Aki ^^) Read. Smiled and talked with the brothers and sisters. Played with the little monster embodied by Shahiq (the older sister's 2-yr-old son). Went with Zhafran at night to buy kuih (translations would be "cake" but it's everything from the actual cake to coco porridge, sticky rice and popia) So... nothing much, but with nice people around so I liked it.

In the evening, it was much different... I got almost depressed to be gone, in Phnom Penh. Felt like I had nothing to do of my evenings, that I was sooooo alone and so on. Now's better ^^

- Sunday : meeting at Elma's and then Vigh, Mo, Nash, Adrian, Pika and I finished at Lotus.
- Monday : meeting with Ayu, one friend of Pika's, with whom I got along so well we kept on laughing at him all night long (yeah, put 2 girls together...)
- Tuesday : birthday party, in Al-Rashwa
- Wednesday : at the movies with Pika and then catching up with Reen and Vigh to go and eat at midnight in some warungs somewhere in KL. Got enough time to discover than sidelong glances work as well with Reen than with Ayu. And that Pika will stop introducing me to his friends ^^
- Thursday : we talked from 6.30 to 9.30pm with Pika in front of 2 or 3 cups of coffee (yeah, me, drinking coffee. White !) and then we surely moved somewhere but I just have no idea where. Holes in my memory...
- Friday : Al-Rashwa diner Al-Rashwa with a Spanish and a US couchsurfer, that we abandonned before joining Fendi et highschools friends of Pika.

I got time enough to get a deception, in the middle of maaaany interesting meetings...

- Azlan, who was just acting so weird. I don't get a clue of what he was doing. It's like he was totally somewhere else, keeping on asking the same things and contradicting himself many times. We didn't manage to meet on Thursday and on Friday night. But I did meet him on Friday afternoon. He was with Yasmine, his girlfriend, and they were arguying too much so I decided to let them alone so that they could sort out the situation. We haven't heard from him since...

- But I met Fendi again, and it was fun seeing him. Seemed like the F1 GP in March was ages ago...

- I was damn happy to see Vigh again, to remember how stupidly funny he could be sometimes. I just love him, he's gonna be my brother one day (whether he wants it or not). The sentence of the week, everyone included, was "Often, we don't realize what we have. And then we lose them, but we still don't really realize. And, then, you meet them again and then you notice how much you had missed them... I am happy you are back, Aisyah" All the while walking slowly in the street, one arm around my shoulder like long-lost friends.

- Ayu will become my friend and that's all about it.
- Same applied to Reen ^^

- At least, Mo et Nash are more than just two profiles I remembered and recognized on the website. I talked with them, more than 4 sentences from the other end of a table. And I hope we'll keep in touch for next times :)

- I met a plane pilot... Heikal. No, okay, he's not really a friend but... I find it funny. I always take Air Asia when travelling around here and it happens that one of Pika's friends that I met on Friday night... was an Air Asia pilot. I still even have his card to prove it haha. And so... it's scarry !!! Because this 30-yr-old guy, who are telling almost more nonsenses than Pika, he doesn't fit at all in the idea "I am a pilot, mister superman, you can rely on me to protect your lives during the flight, I'm going to land the plane in only one piece" I mean... He is cool, funny, saying jokes and serious enough when need be. It's just that... yeah... Now I know who I have to marry if I want free flights ;)

- And Pika deserves a whole article just for himself...
